There are a total of 50 "lighthouse factories" in China in 2023! Add 8 seats! Overview of the latest 132 "lighthouse factories" worldwide

On January 13, 2023, the World Economic Forum (WEF) announced the latest list of "lighthouse factories", adding 18 new "lighthouse factories", including 3 "sustainable lighthouse factories". Since then, the total number of global "lighthouse factories" has reached 132, and the number of "lighthouse factories" in China has also increased to 50, continuously ranking first in the world. The number of local "lighthouse factories" in China continues to rank first in the world, which also represents the rapid and steady development of China's industrial Digital transformation, and has become an important direction of digital and intelligent upgrading of traditional industries.

According to the updated list, a total of 8 "lighthouse factories" from China were selected, namely Haier (Hefei, China), Lenovo (Hefei, China), Yizi (Suzhou, China), Industrial Fulian (Shenzhen, China), Shanghai Huayi New Materials (Shanghai, China), Unilever (Tianjin, China), Wistron (Zhongshan, China), and SunMoon Semiconductor (Kaohsiung, Taiwan, China, China).

The latest selection of three "sustainable lighthouse factories" includes the following

Flextronics (Sorocaba, Brazil), Haier (Tianjin, China), Siemens (Amberg, Germany)

The above three "Sustainable Development Lighthouse Factories" have demonstrated through practice that the application of digital, efficient, and intelligent technologies can bring sustainable and highly competitive value to enterprises.

The development of technology is gradual, and the process of technology moving towards industry also has rules to follow. Almost all "lighthouse factories" come from leading enterprises in various industries. These enterprises often support the application and implementation of advanced technologies in the industry.

Top enterprises have stronger risk tolerance compared to small enterprises, and have strong financial strength to support research and development. In addition, top companies can invest more time and resources to identify the potential upstream and downstream of the value chain. Based on this understanding, they are more capable of constructing an overall "lighthouse factory" construction plan, and then gradually implementing it with the planning as the guide. However, the success of Digital transformation is not limited to large enterprises. With the development of technological levels in various industries, policy guidance, mandatory indicators, as well as considerations such as energy consumption and costs, various industries and enterprises are actively deploying and taking action in the era of Industry 4.0.

Technological development originates from demand, and the deepening of technological application in industries is also the case. The enterprises selected as "lighthouse factories" are all leading enterprises in various industries. It is precisely because these enterprises need and support the application and implementation of advanced technologies in the industry more.

Firstly, compared to small and medium-sized enterprises, top enterprises have a stronger ability to bear risks and have strong financial resources to bear research and development costs. Once again, top companies can invest more time and resources to identify the potential upstream and downstream of the value chain. Based on the above advantages, leading enterprises are more capable of designing and constructing a relatively complete "lighthouse factory" plan, and gradually implementing it based on the plan. However, the success of Digital transformation is not exclusive to large enterprises. With the continuous development of industrial technology, policy guidance, the introduction of mandatory indicators, and consideration of capacity consumption and costs, various industries have begun to actively plan and take action in the context of Industry 4.0.

The product of Ningbo Beckwell Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (Zhejiang, China), a small worker collaborative robot, is developed specifically for the industrial upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprises, achieving unmanned and unmanned production. It is suitable for multi variety, small batch, and flexible automated production scenarios. Its advantages in simplicity, flexibility, ease of use, and safety can bring sustainable and highly competitive value to small and medium-sized enterprises. While enhancing business competitiveness, we strive to strengthen environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction, and lead a cleaner and more sustainable future.
